山姆是沼泽生物学家，蓬下为了研究而带著妻子莉达移居宁静镇。在山姆接到奖学金而需在小镇继续住三年的通知后，蓬下使莉达非常气愤，于是邻居珍娜陪莉达到酒吧狂欢散心。此外，宁静镇接二连三的发生失踪案件使镇上的居民非常恐慌，山姆觉得珍娜可疑；原来珍娜与其兄约翰皆为外星人，利用地球人实验以改进他们的美容手术。他们极需一个AB血型的人实验，珍娜发现山姆是个AB型者后，用谎话将山姆骗到家中……
