剧情简介

在1946年,造口神情不安的芭蕾舞演员Rut陪伴他的丈夫Bertil结束了环意大利的学术访问,造口回到了瑞典。他们在巴塞尔(瑞士西北部城市,在莱茵河畔)的旅店房间里和火车上发生了争吵,他们把食物扔给了窗外饥饿的德国难民。无意间,他们听到了几个瑞典牧师关于婚姻的几句妙语,最终他们两人重修和好……在电影主题方面他延续了伯格曼早期电影当中性别对抗以及对婚姻关系的质疑。Rut和Raoul交往的失败以及所导致的不育是剧中关系网的死结,而她后来和丈夫Bertil的结合又产生了Bertil原来的情人Viola的悲剧,这所有一切扭结在一起就像漩涡吞没了生活中的激情。当时伯格曼和她第二任妻子Ellen闹离婚,本片可看作是伯格曼对婚姻的自况。还有很重要的一点是,《三》是伯格曼早期电影的新尝试,这部电影并不是由故事情节进行推动,而是用人物的心理状态作为电影内部节奏起承转合的离合器,密闭的车厢为人物的情绪主导发挥提供了大舞台。这为他后来更深入的探索奠定了基础。

回复 :《一仆二主》由理查德·比恩(Richard Bean)改编自意大利即兴喜剧创始人、剧作家卡罗·哥尔多尼(Carlo Goldoni)创作于1743年的名著《一仆二主(Servant of Two Masters)》(意大利语:Il servitore di due padroni)的英文版本,故事背景设置在1960年代的英国布里顿,由英国国家剧院前艺术总监尼古拉斯·希特纳执导。詹姆斯·科登在里面饰演一个同时为两个雇主工作、又不敢让他们发现真相的贪食胖仆人。

The film starts with verse 67, “O somma luce…” and continues to the end. “O Somma luce” recalls the first words uttered by Empedocles in Danièle Huillet and Jean-Marie Straub’s 1987 The Death of Empedocles—“O himmlisch Licht!…” (O heavenly light!). This extract from Hölderlin’s text is also inserted into their 1989 film Cézanne.“O somma luce” invokes utopia, or better still “u-topos,” Dante, Holderlin, Cézanne… the camera movement, recalling Sisyphus, in the film’s long shots, suggests its difficulty.In O somma luce, with Giorgio Passerone’s Dante and the verse that concluded the Divine Comedy, we find at the extremity of its possibilities, the almost happy speech of a man who has just left earthly paradise, who tries to fully realize the potential of his nature. Between the two we find the story of the world. The first Jean-Marie Straub film shot in HD.So singular are the textual working methods of Straub-Huillet, and now Straub on his own, that it is hard to grasp how far reaching they are. Direction is a matter of words and speech, not emotions and action. Nothing happens at the edges, everything is at the core and shines from there alone.During the rehearsals we sense a slow process by which ingredients (a text, actors, an intuition) progress towards cohesiveness. It is, forgive the comparison, like the kneading of dough. It is the assembling and working of something until it becomes something else… and, in this case, starts to shine. Actually it’s very simple, it’s just a question of opening up to the light material that has been sealed up. Here, the process of kneading is to bring to life and then reveal. The material that is worked on is speech. So it is speech that becomes visible—nothing else. “Logos” comes to the cinema.The mise en scène of what words exactly?The process of revealing, “phainestai”; “phainomenon,” the phenomenon, is what take splace, what becomes visible to the eye.Is “Straubie” Greece?This mise en scène of speech, which goes beyond a close reading of the chosen text, is truly comes from a distant source.—Barbara Ulrich
