世间曾有一人名为阎不烦，亚洲区隐于闹市帮助苦难的百姓而受爱戴。据传言，亚洲区其擅天象地理之道，通驱邪捉诡之法，见常人之不能见，断事中不平事，谓之阴阳先生。阎不烦受邀来到林家宅解决难题，进门便撞见地上一排“鬼脚印”延续向前，随着林家宅管事的介绍，阎不烦也顺着脚印开始解决林宅“鬼事”。

One night he manages to catch up with his persecutor and tries to get him to talk but in the ensuing struggle he accidentally stabs him. He runs away, but he understands his troubles have just begun when the following day he receives an envelope with photos of him killing the man. Someone is killing all his friends and trying to frame him for the murders...

Discovered after the war, the unfinished work, with no soundtrack, quickly became a resource for historians seeking an authentic record, despite its elaborate propagandistic construction. The later discovery of a long-missing reel complicated earlier readings, showing the manipulations of camera crews in these "everyday" scenes.
