回复 :赤川次郎氏の同名小説を、『すかんぴんウォーク』の丸山昇一が脚色し、井筒和幸監督が映画化したユーモア・ミステリー。母の贖罪の為、コールガール殺しの真犯人を探さなければならなくなった女子大生の姿を描く。母が亡くなり、ひとりぼっちになってしまった女子大生の加奈子。母は北里産業という巨大コンツェルンの会長であった。加奈子には、その後を継いでゆく重責が待っていた。しかも、死の間際の告白から、かつて母はコールガール殺人事件を目撃したが、加奈子を殺すと脅迫されて無実の人間に罪をきせていたことを知った。はからずも加奈子は、真犯人探しの役目まで背負わされてしまったのだった。家の中で、次々に行われる殺人。魔の手は、加奈子にも迫ろうとしていた・・・。
