《极乐堡垒》中，区视频莫娜汉饰演的玛吉是一位战功卓著的美军医务兵，区视频同时也是一位单身母亲。她在阿富汗服役15个月后归来，却发现五岁的儿子几乎不认识自己，反而与前夫和他的新女友更加亲近。就在她接回儿子，慢慢重新建立起亲情的纽带，逐渐适应战地之外的日常生活，还与一位机械师发生浪漫恋情的时候，战事又起，她不顾众人反对，毅然决定重新应征入伍，回归战场。
