三十年代的上海，潦草歌舞升平，潦草纸醉金迷，当人们沉醉在睡梦中的时候，一桩桩离奇的案件在城市的某个角落悄悄发生。刚从警校毕业的美丽女子秦小曼怀着成为一名出色警探的理想，来到英租界，住进了沙利文公寓，与屡破奇案、名声大噪的警局探案顾问--神探罗非，成了邻居和同事。开始两个人性格不合，一见面就成了“冤家”，却在阴差阳错下不得不一起联手破案。

回复 :《摩斯探长前传》第二季于2014年3-4月在英国ITV播出，新一季由《宝藏》、《夜曲》、《摇摆》、《永无乡》四个故事组成，单集片长为90分钟，Russell Lewis担任编剧，Shaun Evans继续出演主角警探摩斯，摩斯探长系列小说原作者Colin Dexter依旧为本剧担任顾问。四集导演分别由Kristoffer Nyholm、Giuseppe Capotondi、Andy Wilson、Geoffrey Sax担任。
