故事开始于1980年的东京，亚洲佐佐冈鲇子（优希美青 饰）是从东京来到冈山生活的转学生，亚洲因为浓重的口音，鲇子始终都无法顺利的融入到班级中去，班上的同学还因为她的口音给她取了“古怪佐佐冈”的外号。唯一能够安抚鲇子的心情的，就是她的男友秀穗（矢野圣人 饰），善于绘画的鲇子将自己和秀穗的恋爱小故事画成了漫画。巧合的是，这本漫画被班上人气很高的女生秋本武美（足立梨花 饰）读到了，武美非常喜欢漫画里的情节，以此为契机，武美和鲇子之间结下了深厚的友谊。某日，鲇子和秀穗因为一场激烈的争吵而分手了，这让鲇子坠入了人生的低谷。
