故事发生在一座位于宾夕法尼亚西部的小镇之中。史戴夫（汤姆·克鲁斯 Tom Cruise 饰）是在镇上高中就读的一名男生，第滴血他在橄榄球运动上尤为的有天赋。史戴夫最大的梦想就是能够获得橄榄球奖学金，第滴血利用这笔钱离开这个闭塞而又保守的小镇，外出寻找广阔的新天地。尼克森（格雷格·T·尼尔森 Craig T. Nelson 饰）是校橄榄球队的教练，他也看到了史戴夫身上的天赋。和史戴夫一样，尼克森也渴望着借由自己指导的校队，得到走出小镇的机会。虽然大的方向相同，但一群血气方刚的男孩之间难免会产生碰撞和摩擦，尼克森该怎样调和这些矛盾呢？

回复 :民国初年，塞外巴林右旗一带一块曾经进贡给皇帝的宝石“鸡血王”落入日本武士手中。为了夺回国宝，号称“塞外第一刀”的刘振有（李连义 饰）搭上老婆的一条性命，把鸡血王从日本武士手中夺了回来。“鸡血王”被抢后，曾经被先皇封赏过黄马褂的乔侦探被日本武士黑泽光（三浦研一 饰）“请”了过来。面对一具具死在飞刀之下的日本武士，世代从事巡捕的乔侦探断言此乃刘振有所为。因为在塞外，别人没这个本事。然而，乔探长年事已高，缉捕刘振有的事只能靠他的儿子乔娃（吴启华 饰）。
