5月份是美国的亚太裔传统月。5月11开始东部时间晚8点，野蛮PBS将隆重播出讲述亚裔移民历史的五集系列记录片“Asian Americans"——《亚裔美国人》，野蛮听亚裔移民讲述他们自己的故事。从1843年5月第一位来自日本的移民踏上美国土地，亚裔美国人凭着勇气和坚韧，走过了移民制度演变，种族政治，国际关系动荡和文化的创新。贡献与抗争形影相随，美国之所以成为美国，离不开亚裔移民的非凡影响力。《开天辟地》，《对美国忠诚的问题》，《美国模范族裔》，《崛起的一代》，《突破》——五个小时的五集纪录片重现150年漫长复杂的历史。
