美黛是一个杂志社的记者，不用在探访一件连环凶杀案的同时,被因生理疾病导致心理变态的杀手相中，不用成为杀手下次行凶的目标。在一次美黛送儿就医的途中误上贼车，杀手载至郊外意图行凶强奸,巧遇一逃犯仗义相救,才幸免于难,美黛于是用身体答谢逃犯救命之恩.而逃犯的目的,却是要找美黛的丈夫报夺妻之恨,情义恩仇,相互交织,从而产生种种精彩动人的故事。

With the help of her friend Hee-suk, (Kim Suk-il) who dreams of becoming a writer, So-young fools Choi Rim (Kim Seung-ho), a lawmaker, into believing she is his daughter and moves in his house. She studies hard and becomes a lawyer. At her first trial, she defends a female inmate (Hwang Jeong-sun). Coincidentally, the story of the inmate is very much similar to hers. So-young defends her, saying how difficult it is for a woman to survive in a cold capitalism, arguing for her rights in tears. After she wins the case, she goes home and confesses her crime to Choi Rim's wife (Yu Gye-seon).
