这是当时韩国根据真实的案件改编的电影，金帝季即大邱青蛙少年失踪案。1991年5名小学生去抓青蛙时失踪，金帝季2002年9月才发现他们的遗体的事件。1991年3月26日，因为地方议会的议员选举30年来第一次举行，全市放假一天 ，最后一个目击证人说在卧龙山附近见过孩子们，但到处都找不到他们。2002年失踪少年的遗骨却在卧龙山被发现，死亡原因确定是他杀，但目前为止并未抓到犯人。韩国杀人案的诉讼时效为15年，在2006年3月25日就到期，即使抓到犯人也无法惩处。此片上映之时，还是不知道孩子具体被杀还是失踪的情况。因此很多地方是根据猜测想象出来的。2011年，新片《孩子们》上映，从另一个角度诠释了本案，剧情上更为有力，值得推荐。
