回复 :「竜を飼う国」ロートレアモン騎士国に建つ竜飼い人の育成施設「アンサリヴァン騎竜学院」に通う上級課程一年のアッシュ・ブレイクは、ある特殊な才能を持つにもかかわらず、未だ自分の相棒たる竜が誕生しないことから学院一の問題児とされていた。ある日学院の行事である竜によるレースの最中、他国のスパイに遭遇したアッシュは彼らを退けたものの、崖下へと転落してしまう。その時、アッシュの左腕に刻まれた星刻が輝き、そこから幼竜が誕生したことで生き延びる。しかし生まれた竜は何故か人間の少女の姿をしていて、目覚めた途端に「あたしがあんたの飼い主なのよ！」とアッシュに対して逆飼い主宣言をしてしまう。かくして「あらゆる竜を乗りこなす男」アッシュ・ブレイクは、唯一乗りこなせない相棒エーコと共に波乱の学院生活を送り始めるのだった。
