中级天师高远为了消灭红莲魔君，亚洲区与红莲魔君大战，亚洲区魔君自诩法力高强，轻视高远，不想遇到九星连珠的天象，法力大减。被高远一剑刺中，魔君忍痛用手指夹断宝剑，‘高远，没有轩辕剑，你是杀不了我的’随后逃遁。五十年后，已经修炼成高级天师的高远，四处查访寻找魔君下落，路过长乐镇，却发现瘟疫泛滥，百姓苦不堪言，病痛而死，昔日繁华的长乐镇，白天一片肃杀，晚上百鬼夜行。一进长乐镇，高远就看到，恶鬼拦路，没等高远亮明身份出手，永发赶到，号称高级天师，降妖除魔，结果被恶鬼抓住，险些丧命，多亏高远协助，才战胜了恶鬼。

However, on Christmas Eve, he is visited by the doomed ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley that tells him that three spirits would visit him that night. The first one, the spirit of Christmas Past, recalls his miserable youth when he lost his only love due to his greed; the spirit of Christmas Present shows him the poor situation of Bob's family and how joyful life may be; and the spirit of Christmas Future shows his fate. Scrooge finds that life is good and time is too short and suddenly you are not there anymore, changing his behavior toward Christmas, Bob, his nephew and people in general.
