无垠的大海之中，午夜一只因化学污染而导致基因变异的巨型鲨鱼，午夜正在水下横行肆虐……经营化工厂的大老板杜衡想收购渔场开发海洋世界，为此在赌场下套，使渔场老板林海洋欠下大笔赌债。而林海洋正巧因为渔场被杜衡的化工厂污染一事，找上了杜衡的公司，却遭到了殴打和软禁。林海洋之子林凯孤身前去营救，偶遇了在暗中调查化工厂污染一事的工人之女裴露，两人再次被杜衡的手下控制。而此时，那只巨型变异鲨鱼已经变得更加狂躁，杜衡得知之后，丧心病狂的打算用林凯裴露等人作为诱饵，捕捉那只变异鲨鱼……波涛汹涌的大海之上，一艘载着杜衡和林凯裴露众人的捕鱼船，一场惊险残酷的猎杀与反猎杀，关于阴暗的人性和残酷的野性，在惊涛骇浪之间正式上演。
