上世纪九十年代，换乘少年陈挺（吴宇恒饰）自小无母，换乘由父亲陈发威抚养长大。他叛逆难驯并终日幻想一蹴而就的“成功”向父亲证明自己，因为成绩不佳在父亲旧友帮助下，陈挺进入职业中学学习汽修，在此与宿敌西城“校霸”黎浩（周彦辰饰）、机车少女佘珍珍（杨肸子饰）等结为好友，随着时代发展的浪潮，他们 共同成长各自到了自己的人生目标。
