该片是根据户籍警田爱军网上追逃的真实故事改编。田爱军作为河南省安阳市公安局殷都分局楼前路一个小小的派出所一名普通的女户籍警，日日虽不是专职追逃的刑警，日日却独辟蹊径从户籍、身份证和网络方面找到了“追逃”突破口，利用自己创造的“网上追逃工作法”，直接抓获网上在逃犯罪嫌疑人46名，其中5名为命案在逃犯罪嫌疑人。她总结的“田氏追逃法”被列入《河南省公安机关“网上追逃”工作规定》。
