北洋时期，春满上海滩各方势力犬牙交错。有志之士纷纷加入革命党，春满遭到了北洋军阀的迫害，日本人也协助北洋军阀大肆抓捕革命党。陈真身为爱国热血青年，为师父报仇后，准备重整精武门。革命党杨芸双前往秘密地点与上级领导李国风接头时被叛徒出卖，李国风为掩护杨芸双撤退，被日本人抓住。杨芸双逃跑途中遇到陈真，从日本人手里逃脱。杨芸双请求陈真帮忙救出李国风，陈真因想重振精武门，不想与日本人作对，婉拒后整日教育徒弟习武强身。杨芸双打探到李国风被日本人关押在秘密监狱，而石川凉介用尽酷刑也没能拿到想要的情报。杨芸双再次找上陈真，求其帮忙，陈真深知日本人的凶残，也明白不能独善其身，决定救人。次日，陈真被日本人带到监狱，并被石川凉介要求参与擂台比武。擂台上，陈真与石川凉介打的难分伯仲，几番殊死较量后，陈真打败了石川。同时，杨芸双众人也攻入监狱，两方混战在一起……
